Overview

When the cView Crystal Reports reader software is installed on a PC, it allows you to view, print and export your Crystal Reports.   Crystal Reports that include saved data can be open and viewed with cView on any PC.  Reports can also be refreshed from the database for up-to-date information.  Updating report data requires the PC to access the report's database, usually through ODBC.  cView fully supports the use of report parameters and can log in to secure databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.

The full version of cView allows modification of print settings and display settings.  The latest release also allows changing of report file locations for data file based reports using FoxPro, Btrieve, or Access so that the same report may be run with different data sets.

cView may be used alone or with one of our report schedulers, cViewMANAGER or cViewSERVER.  With the report schedulers, reports may be run on a schedule and saved to a file or sent by email for viewing with cView.

Select the version of cView recommended for your Crystal Reports version below. 
If more than one version of Crystal Reports is used in your environment, base the cView selection on the highest Crystal Reports version in use.

 


 cView version 12 - recommended for Crystal Reports 2008.

    Download cView 12   (88 MB).  


    Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 runtime redistributable package   (3 MB).

 Must be installed before installing cView version 12 on Windows Vista, Windows 2008, or Windows 7.


    Download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5   (197 MB).

 If your PC does not have the .NET Framework 3.5 installed, download and install this file before installing cView 12.

 To see which versions of .NET are installed on your PC, click Start (or Start  Run) and enter the folder location below.
 Numbered folders within the Framework folder indicate which versions of the .NET Framework are installed.

 cView version 10 - available for maximum compatibility with Crystal Reports 9 and 10.

 cView version 8 - available for maximum compatibility with Crystal Reports 7, 8.0, and 8.5.

 Note:  cView version 8 is designed for Windows 2000 and XP only; do not install on earlier or later Windows versions.
 Installing cView 8 on a PC that already has Crystal Reports 7, 8.0, or 8.5 installed may lead to DLL version conflicts and is not
 recommended.
